Hatching Eggs = $5 per dozen
Cannot guarantee hatch rate
Our girls are prolific layers. We have never had any issues with our laying hens other than during molting season and cold winter months when things slow down; which is normal to have reduced or no production.
Our pastured raised chickens are a mixed breed flock consisting of the following:
Easter Egger | Olive egger | Ameracauna | Rhode Island Red | Buff Orpington |Golden Comet | Whiting True Blue | Cream Legbar
Variety of Colored Eggs:
Green | Blue | Pinkish | Cream | Brown
Chicks (straight run) = $4 per chick - minimum 6 chicks
Based upon availability.
The fertilized eggs are incubated for 20-21 days and then transferred from the incubator to the brooder where they have access to starter feed, water and heat from the heat lamp.
We do not currently have any pure bred breeds on our homestead
Chicks will be available for purchase 6 weeks after hatching when they are old enough to go into a coop and no longer require a heat lamp.
COMING SOON!
Our rabbits are standard Rex breed. They can get to be 7.5-10.5lbs with a life span for 6-8 years. Our does are bred no more than 5 times per year. We raise our rabbits outdoors in a well protected area.
They are great for 4-H showing/projects, breeding, protein source, pelts, fertilizer, and even as a family pet!
We do not butcher rabbits or sell their meat or fur on our homestead
Standard Rex= $25 per rabbit
Garden Gold (Cold Manure) = $10 per lb
Bread, rolls, cakes, counter pies, and whatever other goodies I can create that are not time and temperature controlled.
We are not a commercial kitchen, these items are made with love from our home kitchen. All items are made to order.
We usually make strawberry jam but have made others too such as fig jam and blueberry jam.
Sweet pickles! We have a family recipe passed down from generation to generation. They are so good in chicken salad, on burgers, or by themselves. I am working on perfecting a dill pickle recipe as well.
Seasonal-Limited availability
This will be new for our homestead. I am going to try my hand at drying out some herbs. This will be a very limited supply.
We thank you for supporting & trusting our small family homestead. We appreciate you!
